To that end, we’re excited to offer the Treat Mental Health Texas Scholarship for Mental Wellness Advocates—a $600 award for one passionate student working toward a brighter, healthier future in mental health.

Scholarship Details

  • Award Amount: $600

  • Application Deadline: January 3, 2026

  • Winner Announced: January 19, 2026

Eligibility: Open to high school seniors and undergraduate students in the U.S. who are enrolled in or accepted to an accredited college or university.

Who Should Apply?

This opportunity is designed for students who:

  • Are pursuing studies in mental health-related fields like psychology, counseling, public health, or behavioral science

  • Have personal or family experience with mental health or substance use challenges

  • Are passionate about advocacy, awareness, and making mental health care more accessible and effective

How to Apply

To be considered for the scholarship, applicants must submit the following:

  • A 500–750 word original essay in response to the prompt:

     “How have mental health or addiction experiences impacted your life or community, and what role do you see yourself playing in the future of mental health?”

  • Proof of enrollment or acceptance at a U.S.-based accredited college or university (e.g., class schedule, transcript, or acceptance letter)

  • Your full name, email address, phone number, and school name
