Princess Agbobock
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate who believes people are more than the challenges they are experiencing. I see therapy as a collaborative space where clients can feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood while exploring the relationships, experiences, and patterns that have shaped them.
I work with individuals, couples, and families navigating anxiety, depression, relational concerns, life transitions, complex trauma, and the lasting effects of generational and family trauma. My approach is grounded in Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Systemic and Relational Therapy, the Collaborative-Dialogic process, and Client-Centered Therapy. I believe clients are the experts on their own lives, and my role is to walk alongside them with curiosity, compassion, and respect while helping them recognize their strengths and create meaningful change.
What brought me to this field is both professional and personal. My background in education sparked my interest in understanding people within the context of their families, relationships, and larger systems. My own unique trauma story and healing journey also deeply shaped my path to becoming a therapist. I know what it means to move through difficult seasons, make sense of what you’ve experienced, and intentionally choose healing and growth. Those experiences have strengthened my belief that people can heal, rewrite their stories, and create something different from what they have known.
I love working at Treat Mental Health because I have the opportunity to support clients during seasons when they may need additional structure, connection, and support. I value being part of a collaborative team and helping clients recognize that progress does not have to happen all at once.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy dancing, working out, and creating. I am also the owner of a small handmade self-care business, where I create candles and body care products. Creativity and self-care are meaningful parts of my life, and I love creating things that encourage people to slow down and reconnect with themselves.
At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy should be a place where you can bring your whole self, without judgment, and feel both supported and empowered to create the life and relationships you want.
